Hi melo1224,
What I'm taking (and my physician recommended most of these supplements to me) is:
D-Ribose (a sugar that has been proven in studies to help reduce pain/fatigue in fibromyalgia)
Vitamin B Complex ((( very important in CFS and fibro patients. I buy the drops at Walgreens )))
ACETYL Carnitine
COQ10
Zinc
Omega 3 Fatty Acids ((( helps with inflammation )))
Magnesium ((( very important in CFS and fibro patients. I buy the powered form and put it in my drinking water )))
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
I also use homeopathic remedies and I swear they help me.
Dr. Garth Nicholson recommends other vitamins/minerals as well for people with chronic illnesses, especially those of us with CFS & fibro. Dr. Nicholson and his wife both have CFS and treated their own condition. His website addy is http://www.immed.org --- his bio is very impessive... one of the most impressive physician resumes I've ever seen. Here is his treatment plan online (hit "CANCEL" when it asks you for your username, etc) He talks about supplementation in chronically ill patients:

Good luck with trying to conceive !!!! = )))
Well my treatment at this time is just to deal with it and exercise. I'm trying to have a baby so I want to be drug free. If you have any natural remedies I would more than appreicate some information.
I wasn't really taking anything for my Fibro before trying to conceive. In the past year I've been on Atarax for my bladder, and birthcontrol. I take some muscle relaxers and OTC pain relieve as needed but seldom. My symptoms have increased dramtically over the past month. If I were not trying to have a baby I would be asking for more medication at this point.
I'm happy that you don't have another diagnosis to add to your list ! So how is your physician treating you ? Are you taking medications, supplements, etc ?
Update, My appointment went well, I went over my list of issues and my doctor assured me that it was all related to Fibro. He said I'm surprised you haven't experienced all of this before. And then proceeded to tell me for someone not taking any medications (trying to have a baby) that I'm in tip top shape. Which is ironic b/c I do not feel any where close to tip top shape, again I guess if you look healthy so you must be, right? I bet he has no clue how this really feels. He didn't order any blood work or anything so I guess he's confident that my new symptoms are consistant with Fibro. I'm thankful that he didn't suspect anything more, however I'm slightly bummed to learn that skin pain and electric shocks are just something I'll have to learn to deal with.
Thanks for the input, I have my list typed and ready to go so I don't forget anything. I'm just going to hand it to him. Wish me luck I get so nervous with appointments, you just never know if they're going to make you feel crazy. I've seen this guy twice but it's been about 1 1/2 years now.
Boy, am I familiar with those sharp electric stapping pains that just travels whenever it feels like to. Not fun for sure!!! It is like dull aches and pains that wax and wane. From what I understand it is part of fms as well, and neuro. in origin.
Melo is right about be specific about your pains and other symptoms, so doc can better treats you.
Hugs,
I too experience this type of pain and it is part of fibromyalgia. Unless you have a bad disk in you low back or a pinched ankle nerve-this is probably just FMS. Your dr. may do tests to rule out anything else that it could be. Be honest with your describtion and journal your pains and other symptoms for your next dr. appointments.
