Usually, symptoms usually get worse in most medical conditions as the evening progresses. This has to do with cortisol levels going down in the evening and being the lowest around bedtime.
There are other factors, like slower circulation at night and less
activities to keep the mind engaged in things other than focusing
on pain!
Try a nice epsom salt bath, or a transdermal magnesium treatment before bedtime. It will help you feel better.
