Yes I find that my aches flare up pretty badly during that time of the month but funnily enough not everytime, if my period is heavy my aches are terrible particularly in my legs but if it's light they're not too bad at all, I've never had my hormones tested but have been thinking about getting it done myself due to a few little issues I have
Goodluck with your disability case I hope it all works out for you soon!
Take care
Kathy
Going through peri-menopause...with the hormonal swings...can cause symptoms that would be quite similar to FMS. Are you receiving any type of medication to help with your hormonal problem? Whether or not you have FMS, treating this can make a huge difference in the way your mind and body feel. From what others here have stated, the majority of us have had problems with menstrual cycles, endometrosis or uterine fibroids. I always had problems with PMDD as a youth. Have you actually been dx'd with FMS? In our Health Pages we have some information under "Newly Diagnosed" that will show some other medical illnesses that should be ruled out, as they can mimic FMS.
Getting disability due to FMS is very difficult, unless you have some other qualifying medical disorder(s). This is why we can see so many commercials regarding disab. attorney's. It usually takes a good lawyer and an appeal. You are probably going to need one to combat the video they have. The most important part is continuing with physician appts. so that there is a record of your illness and keeping a journal that can be used. MedHelp has a FMS/CFS Tracker that you can update daily and print out...so this may be of help to your case.
I wish you the best of luck. We can relate to your fatigue and pain and know it isn't easy. Take care.
