Yes I do find in the morning getting out go bed is extremely difficult! My feet hurt very much... Body aches all over!!
Hi my 6 year old has Celiac's Disease.
Do not make the mistake of thinking gluten is a sugar, this is not true !!!
Gluten is; Oats, Wheat, Barley and Rye.
Anything made of flour or dough, pizza, bread, biscuits.
Found in all cereal, gravy etc.
Basically everything has gluten in it if its packaged.
All fruit and veg fresh or frozen are gluten free.
Cadbury choc, most is gluten free, unless it has a biscuit base in it.
Cheese and yoghurt, eggs, gluten free.
Mcdonalds, hash browns and beef patties are gluten free. Not the bun.
Look at the back of packaging, if the ingredients say Oat, Wheat, Barley or Rye its not g/f. It shoud say if its g/f or not, because gluten is an allergy, all packaging must say whether it contains gluten, by law now.
You may need to shop in the health food aisle now, this adds 20% to a persons food bill each week.
It is not recommended to go on a gluten free diet, unless the person is Celiac Disease. As key ingredients are essential in a normal diet, which a gluten free diet lacks, e.g. fibre etc causing great complications.
Otherwise if you have to, make sure to eat lots of kiwi fruit, dried apricots, prunes, anything high in fibre.
: )
Niko, if I didn't already say thank u for this additional info about diet changes taking a time to see results. Also I am working on conscious breathing and muscle relaxing breathing. I will look for the normal breathing website although as I type the words it sounds like a joke...
Thanks Nicky.
Make sure you're prepared to stay on this diet stay for many months,
(as I mentioned that gluten effects may linger around the body
up to a few months).
It took many years for your condition to develop, so it will take time for this diet to translate into measurable improvement.
Your total "new" calories cannot exceed your "old" total calorie count.
Be careful with nuts, nut butters as they are loaded with calories.
Balance your meals better, by consuming large amounts of salads ( drizzle with some olive oil , fresh vegetables (pref. organic) with grass fed meat, free-range chicken and low mercury fresh fish.
Cook using only coconut oil as it will not oxidize with heat, unlike any other cooking oil, so less inflammation in your body.
In between meals - 1 hour away- drink a lot of spring water!
Try to up your activity levels according to your ability-I understand that
you also have MS .
Some fibro symptoms may overlap, while some others don't, so in the end
it's hard to distinguish sometimes which condition brings about a certain symptom.
When suffering from such conditions, also breathing patterns are abnormal-
being a symptom and a co-factor at the same time.
Go to the normal breathing website for details.
Best wishes.
Niko
Hi. I have Fibro, MS,chronic daily headaches-and a few other issues. Anyway I have been working wth a nutritionist for 13 weeks. Gluten free, grain free, sugar and it's fake sugar friends. . THere has been no change I can feel. I have gained 15 pounds on this food plan. Lots of nuts and nut butters and olive and coconut oil. Point is gluten free for 13 days and no change in Fibro aches and pains. Do u find when u wake in the morning getting out of bed and up is difficult and so painful, legs arms body hurt so much...?
Best wishes in uR search for answers
Hi Gloria.
For more reasons than what you can ever think of-and I don't mind to explain a few of them if you wish- gluten, grains, sugars( including synthetic) and carbs in general are some of the most offensive things you can put in your body, not only for Fibro but a whole lot of other conditions.
Just type "Gluten free list" and do a search. Checkout the first few results that come up and you will have an idea, what to consume and what to avoid
as far as gluten goes.
By the way, many non-food products contain gluten, like many shampoos and cosmetics (gluten enters the body through the skin), play-dough and other.
I have been recommending this for years- I'm an independent medical researcher and I do a fair amount of holistic medicine consulting- and the majority of the people who actually manage to follow it (some lack the discipline and quit after a short time), do phenomenally better.
One thing to note though, is that gluten effects may linger around the body
up to a few months after quitting, but some improvement should be experienced, nonetheless, in just a couple weeks or less.
It would be one of my top recommendations, however, my comments and recommendations, are not intended as a replacement for medical advice.
Best wishes.
Niko
