Good Fibro Doctor?

Does anyone know of any good fibro doctors around ohio, kentucky, or indiana?  My mom has fibro and she has been in so much pain for the past couple of years.  She hasnt found a doctor that she likes.  They all seem to just blow her off.  Its really frusterating.  She got her fibro bc of me, and I wish there was something I could do (I had cancer when I was 17 with a 2% chance of living, very stressful for my mom).  She cant take Lyrica, and the cymbalta does nothing for her.  My mom is a little overweight and doesnt feel comfortable trying any type of massage therapy.  Should I push her to try a massage?  Its just aggravating.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am a massage therapist, actually I am just graduating this year, it has been a rough year because I also have fibro, my teachers did not really understand the disease until having me as a student  and we were able to find immeasurable amounts of info on the benefits of massage for fibromyalgia patients.  be sure your mother lets the therapist know before she gets a massage and though sometimes deep tissue feels good to us, it will cause more pain and fatigue for days after the massage and may not show up til the next day or two after the massage. some therapists do not know how to properly address fibro during massage so when youre mom is looking for a therapist she should call before hand and ask the therapist about her knowledge of the disease and treating it with massage techniques. if you have any questions please feel free to email me at ***@**** i am in spokane washington. your mother and i have a lot in common i am not able to take those meds either and it gets frustrating, i still have not found releif but massage does help if it is done correctly.
all the best,
chandra
