High Ammonia Levels in Fibro/CFS Patients


This is a link to a Q & A Session with Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum. This is the first time I've seen this issue addressed and I'm happy because the treatment protocol that I'm doing (Dr. David A. Jernigan's), has formulas to address ammonia issues in lyme, CFS and other chronic illnesses.

Here is another article written by Dr. Teitelbaum that I believe will be helpful to many. It discusses thyroid testing and why lab testing is NOT reliable. I've heard that even Endocrinologists argue often about changing the normal lab values for some thyroid tests.

Anyhow, since the majority of fibro & CFS patients have a low thyroid, but the standard tests fail to detect it.... this is what you consider printing out to discuss with your physician:

I agree.  Thank you for sharing this.  It's really valuable information.  I made sure that I shared this information with someone else who I know doesn't read this forum, but who also suffers from these illnesses herself.  I knew she would be interested in the information, too.
