I have those lumps or knots in my shoulder blades and my lower back and they can be quite painful. I get them mostly when I am stressed.
I have had fibro since 2000 and these knots along with pains in my shoulders and back have been a big issue for me. Recently, my feet have started hurting. My solution for pain is exercise, weights, stretching and yoga. If I don't exercise, I am in serious trouble especially when I wake up in the morning. Also, the weather does affect me e.g. we have been having rain storms in the last few days and my feet have been acting up even though I have been going to my stretch and yoga classes.
In 2000 when I was in serious trouble with ongoing pain which never let up for months, I did my research and came to the realization that if I focused on strengthening my muscles, it would help so I got a trainer. It was torture at first, but once I got past that threshold of pain, I noticed that it helped tremendously. So, since then, exercise has become part of my daily regimen and without it my life would be very painful. With exercise, I have a lot more good days than bad ones which is quite the opposite without stretching and challenging my body, and of course trying to get adequate rest.
I wanted to share this with you because it really does work a whole lot better than popping pain killers.
