IM IN SO MUCH PAIN ALL THE TIME!!!!

Hi Everybody, I was wonderin if anyone else with Fibromyalgia was like me and was in horrific pain constantly without NO BREAKS from Head to Toes(Everywhere)?. My medication is Pregabolalin 600mg, Duloxetine 60mg, Imipramine 60mg, & Targinact MR(Oxycodone Hydrochloride)60mg Per Day But i dont feel like these tablets are doin anything other than making sweat well over the top, if ther wher a water shortage ther'd be no probs at my house, Ive been to my Pain Clinic Dr and told him about the pain, sweats, legs jerking in bed, my mind, well i defo think thats goin with the wind bcoz im constantly forgetting things even sentances when im chatting, the fact i feel absolutely exhausted all the time, but he just puts my meds up in strength, I hav injections all over my Neck, Hips, Shoulders, Upper & Lower Back & Knees every 4mths and i hav my Knees injected every month. Everythings great when im injected, Im back to bein me but it only last for 4-6wks tops and then im back in horrific pain day, day in day out. I was in a serious car crash, I was physically fit and well before then, but since then ive been in pain everywhere every day gettin worse as time goes on. Its been 3yrs now and there doesnt seem to be any end to all this or at least some relief other than the injections, but like i said they dont last. Theres nothing wrong with my spine its in order to wat it should be for a 46yr Old, so its supposingly just this Fibro and Osteo. Im so fedup and i keep goin so low with depression, it frightens me sometimes how low i really get, if im not low im stressed out with anxiety attacks or im scraping myself, well trying to scrape myself off the floor. Is ther anybody with Fibromyalgia whos suffering like me? Is this the Norm for Fibromyalgia Patients or does anyone think ther might be something else other than the Fibro, Oh ive got Osteoarthritis in my Knees aswell and that started after the crash also. Someone plz talk to me. Im really at breaking point, im not coping at all. Sorry for the Essay!!  Jax(",)xXx

Since FM affects the central nervous system, it increases the pain receptor signals to our brain. Back and neck pain are very common complaints within FM sufferers. Greatest blessings to u all:)

I've been very fortunate with my FM to mainly suffer from the annoying secondary symptoms such as dry mouth, skin, eyes, and peeing a lot. Sorry for everyone's pain...I've been blessed to not have that. My hat goes off to all of you who do suffer from severe pain!!!! *hugs*

You are not selfish at all!  I'm going through the exact same thing where I feel like I was hit by a truck everyday, and cannot sleep for the pain every night.  I can sympathize with you all the way; please know that you are not alone!  As jstntime says, feel free to write anytime, there's always someone here!

Thanku Bob, Thats really nice of u(",)
Because of what happened at xmas with them given me an overdose, I have my opiate meds changed every 3mths, so i dont hav to go on really high doses and end up on a drip for 3-4days.If i miss my opiate, which i take 1 every 12hrs, if i go over, say mayb 5hrs im in big trouble and its not nice, not like babes:(  as im sure u already know, with coming off! Can't believe i end up havin withdrawal bein 5hrs late. I'll b honest babes i dont think any of them know what 2 do with us, wat do u think?

It sounds silly this, but i needed to know other people were suffering like me, i needed to know i wasnt they only one and that other people could give hopefully some advice. Do u think im stupid? Do u think im selfish for wanting people to b like me so i could learn from them? I feel terrible for wanting that, I do need them though.

Hope we'll chat some more!

Hey Hax,

Fibro is tough, I feel like I've been hit by a truck most days too.  I tried cymbalta for a while but didn't get much benefit.  Of course narcotic opiates work wonders until tolerence develops.

I'm an addict and unable to take as directed.  Someone once told me their addiction was blamed on their dyslexia for reading the prescription bottle incorrectly.  Insnstead of taking 1 every 4 hours, they read it to say take 4 every hour!!!!

I am on day 108 today free from opiates and it hasn't been easy.  I have suffered terribly but truthfully, I'm at a point where I don't feel any worse when I was taking pills and every few days when I can stand it no more, I take a few advil or tylenol and get some measure of relief.

Feel free to write anytime if you have any questions.  I've been diagnosed with fibro for 20 years.

Hang in there and keep reading, lots of folks can help you here!!!

Hi Babes, Thankyou for answering my post. The Duloxetine(Cymbalta) & Imipramine are both Anti-Depressants, they supposingly work well with the Pregabolalin which is for the Fibromyalgia and theTarginact(Oxycodone hydrochloride) is a Strong Painkiller(Opioid analgesic), I do hav Liquid Morphine and im suppose to use it when needed, just 2x5mls every 4hrs but it doesnt work, so i dont tend to use it bcoz id need more than that and i darn't just incase i over dose because some of the medication i was put on for the pain(Pain Patches) where too high for me and i was rushed into hospital Christmas Day Morning with an Overdose because of my medication, it wasnt my fault it was the Docs, I was on a drip for 3days and was extremely poorly. Your right babes about going to Docs and I am going to, but its bank Holiday and my Docs are not open till Tues. I need to know if anyone is this bad, it sounds stupid but if i knew, it would make me feel so much better because this would be normal, I keep reading about Fibromyalgia and know where says its this bad, its really worrying me, I just need to know im not alone with this and somebody can advice me what to do now, no disrespect to your advice because your right i do need to go back to the Docs and really, I am greatful, Thankyou.

I do have bad days where my whole body hurts.  It seems you are suffering considerably.  Are you on any kind of anti-depressant as well?  Depression is common with those of us with chronic pain and the meds help us to sleep.  I can't believe how much better I can manage my issues now that my depression is under control.  You need to talk to your doctor about your depression and anxiety.

Are you sleeping well?  Good sleep is very necessary with fibro.  You may want to ask for  sleep tests to see if you are getting good quality sleep.

Have you tried any alternative therapies like acupuncture or massage?  I find massage very helpful for my pain and it relaxes me.  I live for my bathtub to just soak and meditate.

I hope you can get some relief soon.  Gentle hugs, Trudie
