Can anyone hel?

have been suffering from all sorts of mild to chronic pain for the last few years first went to the doctors about it all a couple of yrs ago with severe aching, shooting pains in my arms and wrists got to the point where couldn't even hold my arms up to read a book as was so tireing they thought was carpel tunnels but this was ruled out - not sleeping been a problem for yrs as well as general triedness and aching everywhere - last 6 months seems to have moved up a gear and suffering from horrendous burning pain in my legs and bum to the point where can't sit down on it sometimes - generally there all the time every day and night even in bottom of my feet sometimes - still have achey arms and my hands get crampy just writing. Now seem to be getting the same burning and tingling pain all over body on differnt days including in my chest and neck. Have had MRI which shown nothing and various blood tests. Getting to the point where so frustrated as so debilitating sometimes and feel like no one seems to know what it is and so I can't even explain to anyone what the problem is. Sometimes feels like my arms and legs are all swollen but there is no physical symptoms. Also suffer from a numb head and pins and needles in most parts of body as well. Would love to have some support or help with how I can manage this!! Fibramyalgia has been banded about but all seems so inconclusive and nothing definate.

Have you looked up the symptoms of fibro? There are 16 trigger points that lead to a diagnosis of fibro. You need 11 of the 16 to be painful to be diagnosed with fibro. I disagree with Patsy10 to some degree that fibro is not a disease. It is becoming more accepted by the medical community that it is a disease in and of itself. But I do agree with Patsy that you need a full work-up for lupis, lyme, etc. Good luck on finding some answers. If you have a good PCP he should be able to order these tests, or refer you to a rheumatologist for further evaluation. Keep us posted, and we are all willing to answer any questions we have, or just lend an ear or shoulder.....

Fibromyalgia is not a disease.  It is a group of symptoms without a known cause.  People frequently get diagnosed with this and CFS when there is not an identified cause.  Have you had a full rheumatic screening done for lupus, rheumatoid arthrits, lyme etc....?  Also, have you had viral testing done?
