MS stem-cell treatment 'success'

Stem-cell transplants may control and even reverse multiple sclerosis symptoms if done early enough, a small study has suggested.

"Not one of 21 adults with relapsing-remitting MS who had stem cells transplanted from their own bone marrow deteriorated over three years."

Hi Lexi,

I think that it is a smart move to save your future childrens cord blood. And I hope that future researchers will examine cord blood from people who became chronically ill. That will answer many questions and shed light on some of these diseases.

That is crazy as I am watching 11th Hour, this really cheesy medical science show on CBS and they are talking about stem cells and chord-blood cells.

I made a promise to my future children that I will save chord-blood when they are born.

I love the UK! They have the best research. I wish the US would get on the same boat. Most of the things I have read about medical research in the UK has been wonderful. That you for posting this link. It gives hope to some out there!
