Rapidly increasing face pain, severe

Hi,

25/M

I hurt my back lifting and I believe I completely tore up my entire upper back. I was leaning my chin on top of a wooded pointed chair (around january) and I think that attributed to causing the unbelievable. It feels like theres abosulely zero support to hold my head up; my neck also hurts. I would eventually I aquired a burning pain in my entire head and face. Instead of the pain in my face and head being in one spot it's been all over to the point I can't laugh, yawn or even lopen my jaw very well without consequences. I started feeling the pain in my face in Feb/March but had the back and neck problems for over a year now. I can't comb my hair because my whole head is hurting so bad. I cannot raise my eyebrows which leads me to believe something is torn in my face now as well. I also smell a horrible odor which could be the tearing I feel in my face. My eyes just recently started twitching/shaking randomly.

An MRI and CAT scan of the head came back negative. I've also had blood tests and everything came back ok.

At this point, I think my once mild case of fibro is now severe. I'm awaitng an MRI of the neck scheduled for the 1st but I fear they won't find anything.

Please Help. :(

Hello again,

I know as you all know I sound like a hypochondriac.  However, unfortunately all my ailments are real, painful, and want them to find a cure fast.

Hello,

Great advice from Curls.

Best of Luck to you with the MRI.

How has the Gabapentin been working for you?  I was given that recently for cervical neuropathy and some radioculaphy issue relative supposedly to my Fibro.

Take Care!

Thanks for the response.

Yeah I don't think I have fibro either. My neck just feels completely torn from front to back. I hope the MRI shows something or else she'll think I'm completely nuts because you know how it is. I had my neck X-Rayed twice once by Kaiser and once by social security that obviously didn't tell them anything. I don't think I've ever been this scared in my life though because it feels like my eyes are gonna fall out of my head or something. I just started taking Gabapentin 2 days ago so I hope this stuff helps me out. :)

The only idea I have is google for chari formation and cfs/fm and long island to look for the doctor who specializes in it and is famous.  It's not that I think you have it, but he accepts xrays and cases to evaluate by remote and I'm sure could give advice on what to do next.  I know this is a very vague suggestion, but...

There's obviously something wrong.  It doesn't sound like Fibro.  It could be a soft tissue injury and why it's not showing on the tests, but it's not a description of Fibro style pain pattern.  (Upper back is common in fibro, but not the way you are describing the sequence from there.)

All the best!
