This article is an admission as to how disabling fibromyalgia really is.
Excerpt: "Although FM is a controversial construct, studies performed worldwide showed that the health status profile of people with FM was remarkably consistent. People with FM had significant impairments in both mental and physical health status domains. People with FM had a poorer overall health status than people with specific pain conditions that are widely accepted as impairing."
I don't know PlateletGal. Doctors will accept the pain and poor health levels of the other illnesses (i.e. Lupus, RA, etc.) without hesitation, but they still don't seem to think that fibro. is a legitimate illness. Yet the quality of our lives is lower than the others that were examined. I don't know what it is going to take to convince the medical community.
