Hello;
First off welcome to the community. To answer your question, yes the aching legs are a huge part of fibro. I was diagnosed about 15 months ago with fibro/cfs, and my legs absolutly kill me. The pain, aching, throbbing, screaming in my legs has gotten worse. I also have RA but the pain in my legs are in the muscles also. I get big knots in my muscles and I use a rolling pin to rub them out.
My Rheumy has me on Ultram ER 200mg 2 x a day plus numerous other meds. My internist put me on norco 10/350 for the pain in my legs. The norco helped for a while, and then my tolerance took over. He then put me on oxy and that helped for a while. He now has me on Fentanyl patches and so far thy have been God sent. I hope that I was able to help in some way. Take care.

thx for the reply sounds exactly like what I have....u use a rolling pin I use soup cans!! our hands just arn't strong enough.
Interesting why the fentanyl patch would work and not the oxy?
I tell doctors I have FM yet they all say its not the source of my leg pain!!
Thats why the dr. did a cortisone injection to my hips first.....helped the hips for a short while but did nothing NOTHING for the legs....so all they say is humpf???
So I had begun to question it as well...thanks for letting me know I am not alone here...
thats what I keep telling them too, is my back is very sore yes and the oxy helps there yes....but its the legs that kill me...they seem to not want to hear that..they just let it float over their heads somewhere, got a copy of the consult report they sent to my family dr. and it doesn't even mention FM on there!!
hugs back
