I hate it when I can't remember whether or not I've taken my medication and I also always get the days mixed up.
I think the most dangerous (and stupid) thing I did because of brain-fog was immediately clean the burners after I had just removed a pot of boiling water.
One time I was going out to a friends house where I'd never been, so printed directions and left them by my purse so I'd remember. I left and knew I was forgetting something, so came back to look around and see if anything struck me. I saw the movies she'd lent me and grabbed them, leaving again. As I was leaving, I knew I'd forgotten something else, came back, but couldn't figure out what it was, so left again. I got 5 minutes away at least before I realized I'd forgotten the directions... twice.
A funny one, I'm in college, and one time I did my homework twice, forgetting I'd already done it!
Don't feel bad. About a month ago I bought a couple of boxes of frozen waffles. Well, I told my son I had bought some and he might have these for breakfast. The next day I asked if he had waffles for breakfast and he said, "he never could find them" I asked if he looked in the deep freeze and the refridgerator freezer, "yea", he says. Well, I looked and looked, wondering where in the world did they go to? Not to long after I was cleaning out the pantry throwing away old chips, etc, There low and behold are the waffles ! Yuck ! It's easy to do tho' as you get busy trying to feed everyone and put away groceries at the same time. But I have spells where I have a hard time talking, as in trying to figure out how to phrase my sentences. I wonder about myself at times !
I just pulled a good one this morning and gave my co-workers one more thing to laugh at me about. I walked down the hall into a friend's office and said, "Good Morning...great to see you today". She looked at me really strange and told me that she had just been in my office 30 minutes earlier to say Hi and ask how my morning was going. We talked about last night's TV too. Guess she knew how it was going...VERY FOGGY!
ok...I finally remembered a good one...most embarrassing tho.
I was running late for work...got dress and went as fast as I could....I did not feel well, nothing new, but all around not a good day. So I am on my way to work and my legs were really bothering me....I got to my desk, and had a lot to do, so right to work....after several hours, close to break time an associate came up and asked if I was alright...I said no my legs are really bothering me today I don't know what it is , with that I swung my legs out from under the desk and looked down at them.....well I guess one open toe wedge and one flat will do it......one navy ...one taupe!
Beat that! lol
"selma"
Keep them coming !
I have another one. I was walking to the office and I was so brain-fogged that I accidentally walked right into a parked vehicle in the employee parking lot ! I had a HUGE bruise on my thigh and it didn't go away until 6 months later. At the time I still didn't have a diagnosis... but suspected CFS but I just couldn't believe how brain-fogged I was.
