fybro? have i got it?

cvt
I am a 28 year old female who has been suffering many symptoms for sometime now. I had many tests done, most come back boarderline so i get written off by the doctor.
Symptoms include joint pain (mainly knees, elbows and hips) pain is like i have overworked the joints or had my arms above my head too long - if that makes sense? Makes me very restless which drives my husband mad!
ibs, pms, headaches, terrible mood swings, sensitivity to bumps/knocks, acne, leisions on my hands (occasional red hard lumps that are itchy) forgetfulness (will forget simple words or loose the thread of conversation), tired all the time and wake up alot in night due to joint pain and not being comfortable and i struggle to loose weight.

I am able to work full time but some days this is a struggle and i can't wait to go home.

Pain killers work sometimes. I feel 128!!!

My sister has sle and has tests every 6 months. I have had one test for sle which was negative, same with rheumatoid arthritis.

What do you think? Shall i keep bothering my poor doctor or accept that this is just me?

An ANA test will be positive if you have an autoimmune disease. For some reason though, a large number (25%) of both CFS and fibro patients' have positive ANA titers. Also, there are some people who are healthy who have postiive titers. Your physician could have already ordered an ANA test, but if not... one should definitely be ordered.

Thanks for your comments and advice. I have gone without wheat before and this helped slightly. Have had test for coeliac but came back boarderline then negative. I will still pursue this with my GP thought. Which test is an ANA test??

Thanks for your advice. I have had food allergy testing done in the past at Holland & Barratt (health food store) but not sure how accurate this is. Will pursue further with my GP.

Sounds like it could be food intolerances, food allergies or Celiac disease. I definitely agree with the poster above.

One thing you could do (always check with your physician first) is to go without any dairy products, sugar, corn (including cornsyrup which is in everything -- even ketchup) and gluten (wheat) for at least 2 weeks. The diet is VERY strict, but I can tell you that I felt so good after the 2 weeks. I also found out that I had an intolerance to gluten.

Also, has your physician done labwork on you recently ? Did he/she include an ANA test ?

Check for food allergies and yeast overgrowth..
Sounds like you have Fibro andor multiple Chemical sensitivities.
You may have to go alternative medicine frankly.  You may have to totally change your life and avoid all sugar, caffeine, perservatives.  Food allergies can do it to you.

I deal with the same symptoms and have the above issues.  Do not accept it, there is a health problem
