Acid Reflux Or Ulcer ??

i have been suffering with extreem burning sensations in my upper abdomen which can travel upto my throat or down to just above my belly button............... and really hurts like someone is squeezing me so hard inside.. it does however go worse if i eat things like chocolate, white bread,  if i eat things like brown bread plain foods its fine (but i have a bad sweet tooth finding it hard to STOP all chocolates :( but i have cut down most things changed them all to fat free or low fat and sugar free or reduced sugar which am hating...
am due to get a scope done on the 31st of this month which am so not looking forward to..

The pain does come more of a night time even if am just sitting on the sofa watching tv or if am hungry it comes real bad ..........
am just wondering if i do stick fully to this acid reflux bland diet how long does it take for it to heal if it is acid reflux or a stomach ulcer ??

go get the scope and they probably find out you have gastritis and acid reflux and possibly a hiatal hernia because alot of people develop things from eating and laying down right after and especially spicy foods you know? maybe you need prilosec or nexium to keep under control with the acid backing up in your throat and the sour taste you can get.....
