I had a gastroscopy done and have stenosis as well as a bend where the food must go into the tummy. They must redo the operation.Thank you for the advice.
I had the Nissen Fundoplication surgery about eighteen months ago, with great results. From the studying I did prior to the surgery, it sounds like the wrap and stitching procedure was too tightly done, and this might result in expulsion of food in the esophagus. I'd strongly suggest you do as much as possible to make sure the repeat surgery is performed by someone with a lot of experience. Also, I'd suggest you visit a dietician to establish a dietary plan after the surgery, and follow it as carefully as possible.
My guess that the wrap is too tight is because vomiting from the stomach is almost an impossibility with a NF. I don't think your food is reaching your stomach. Another possibility is that during the surgery the Vagus nerve was cut, something I certainly I would discuss before the next surgery. Hope this helps.
