Scared

I'm an overweight (working on it) 32 year old male.

I've been experiencing severe chest pain for 10 days now gradually worsening.

I'm burping more than usual and feel a lot of burning and stabbing in my chest.
The pain comes and goes but is never gone for long.

There has also been some tightness which also comes and goes.

The pain is usually in the centre of my chest but also the left breast and the left side of my torso near to the side boob/rib area.

Also occasionally the right side.

There is also a bit of discomfort in my back and throat.

I'm absolutely terrified that I'm having some kind of heart attack.

I'm a full time carer for my mum and brother and I don't want to leave them.

Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated.

Are certain foods causing the symptoms to worsen? Like the burping, pain in your chest, etc?

I would encourage you to meet with a doctor. In the meantime, try to limit sugar intake, increase your water (Can even mix in zero calorie mixers), and get a little exercise in. Exercise dilates your veins, which means your heart doesn't need to work as hard. I realize that's generic sounding, but from the sounds of it, i.e. things getting worse, you may need to make a change soon to avoid anything bad happening.
