I have a hiatus hernia which has moved and along with part of stomach has moved up into my chest and is pressing against my heart. Is this quite a common side effect and what is the normal treatment. ie an operation ?

Yes it has been confirmed. It started with mentioning to my doctor that my ankles were swelling up and i was extremely breathless. He sent me for a echogram which told them something was pressing against my heart. I was then sent for a ct scan that confirmed what was happening. Nitpin
