Hi Tina:
It sounds as though your Doctor was referring to something called "adhesions". Hopefully these links will help:

I just had my gallbladder removed yesterday and like you, mine was attached to my stomach as well. So instead of just a normal three hole surgery, it turned into three hole and an extra two inch incision surgery. I'm not sure whether it could be an adhesion as was previously posted, especially because I had never had previous injury or surgery to my abdomen. My doctor told me that pain could last for a while, especially when breathing deeply or really using my diaphragm (stinks considering I'm a teacher and singer.)
I'm trying to search now too...and the only thing that showed up was your posting. I am going back to my surgeon and primary physician next week and will ask what's up with how long the pain will last and any possible future problems this could cause. Would you like me to email you what I find out?
Hi Tina:
I don't understand. In your May post, you said you had your gallbladder removed two weeks ago. In the last post, you said you just had it removed. If you're still recovering from your surgery, it might take a while before you feel better. If it's been a while and you're still recovering, check out www.top5plus5.com and search for Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction and/or Pancreatitis. There is also a webgroup there you can join.
All the best,
Sam
I was told the same thing when I had my surgery 3 weeks ago now. I also have been researching gallbladder attached to stomach and the only thing I have found so far is your comment. I was told that my gallbladder had become infected and that resulted somehow in its attaching to my stomach. My gallbladder was working at 1% when I had it removed. I thought that would fix all my problems but so far it has just created new ones. I would be interested to know how you are doing now that a couple of years have passed for you.
Hope you are still out there.
I had my gallbladder removed yesterday and was also told it was attached to the stomach. Wondering how all of you are doing?
