Severe nausea and vomiting 1 month post gallbladder removal

Hi everyone,

My husband, who is 43 years old, had his gallbladder removed approximately a month ago.  He is a type 2 diabetic and has a 10-year history of pancreatitis attributed to elevated triglycerides and his gallbladder was quite inflamed and had significant scar tissue, so he most likely had stones.  Three years ago, he had to undergo several ERCPs and bile duct stents as he had stones lodged deep in his bile duct and a pancreatic duct leak, causing him to be quite septic.  That was not fun at all as he was sick the entire summer of 2013, but he finally recovered well and was totally fine up until this past November, when he started getting sick again.  Anyway, since he had his gallbladder removed last month, he has been intermittently having severe nausea and vomiting.  He started having it again yesterday and was up all night vomiting.  We put a call in to his gastroenterologist's office and we are waiting for a callback.  He is at work right now and is contemplating coming home because he feels so horrible.  Has this ever happened to anyone else after having a cholecystectomy?  Can anyone offer any advice regarding this?  It would be greatly appreciated!
