Can you control forming stones in a bile duct after gallbladder removal?

My gallbladder was removed in 1986. I had bile duct surgery as well at the same time. I had lodged stones. Two years later the attacks came back. A surgeon did an endoscopic procedure ( which prevented major surgery) and widened the bike duct so any new stones could pass through. Stones have been forming every 2 to 3 years and the attacks can last days or a few weeks but then disappears. Until another 2-3 years. Will this happen for the rest of my life and can diet help? I'm not overweight, never have been. I'm 5'3" and 100 lbs. my gallbladder was removed when I was 26.

Yes, stones may form outside of the gallbladder. Sometimes in the liver, sometimes in the bile ducts. It isn't likely due to your diet, but is likely some other undetected condition. Have your doctors check autoimmune blood levels, for a hint.
