Is there a connection between gallstones and dry eye?

For the past nine months I have been having stomach pains that come and go along with severely dry eye due to a lack of tear production (lacrimal gland).  The stomach pains started around the same time, within a month, of my dry eye problem starting, but then they went away for a while and the stomach pains would come and go over the next nine months.

Last week I had an ultrasound done and found out I have a gallbladder full of stones.  I will have pain on my right side where the gallbladder is as well as pain and bloating on my left side also.  My theory is that the common bile duct is being clogged some and that might be affecting the pancreas as well.  I wonder if I am not absorbing all of my vitamins either.  I have had weight loss as well, at first I was trying to lose weight but now I am not and keep losing weight.

Does anyone have any information about whether dry eye can be caused by a gallbladder problem?  If I have it removed, is there a chance my dry eye could improve?  Do you have any personal experience or links that you can share on the subject?

Thank you!
