Hello and hope you are doing well.
The symptoms mentioned could be due to gallbladder disorders. The other symptoms are nausea, vomiting, intolerance to fatty food and jaundice. Ultrasounds and CT scans will help detect any abnormalities in the structure of the gall bladder or gall stones. To study the functioning tests like HIDA scan need to be done.
A HIDA scan is a type of imaging study called a nuclear medicine scan. The HIDA scan uses a radioactive chemical, or tracer, that helps highlight certain organs on the scan, in this study the gallbladder and bile.
In HIDA scans the gall bladder gets filled in 5-10 mins and sometimes longer. The emptying usually happens within 2 hrs. That's what happens if the test is normal--if something is blocked then the progression stops flowing along--usually either the gallbladder never fills or it never empties in an abnormal scan. CCK HIDA or HIDA with ejection fraction (EF) is seen to check for gallbladder ejection. There is nausea and some amount of pain with this medication.
If gallbladder ejection fraction is below 35% is considered to be gallbladder dyskinesia.

thanks for your answer. i have excessive gas everyday. also when constipated i have mucous in the stool. ct scan for right part was normal for all organs. did not do hida test yet. still the excess gas, mucous in the stool plus other symptoms can be due to a poor functioning gallblader?
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Gallbladder dysfunction can cause fatty food intolerance and bloating of abdomen. Undigested food can cause mucous production. If inflamed it can cause right quadrant pain. So, your symptoms could be due to gallbladder dysfunction. The symptoms mentioned could also be due to colon disorders.
