8 months of stomach pain 3 doctors and no help !!!!

about 8 months ago i started to have pain in the lower middle part of my stomach which lasted for about a week i went to the ER and they did a ct scan and said i had swollen lymphnodes in my bowels and that something was inflammed and it mimicked appendicitis so i went to my dr and she did a bnuch of blood test everything came back fine then i started being very constipated i would feel as if i had to make a bowel movement and when i tried to go i couldnt so i would wait and wait usually within the same day i would finally have a bowel movement but which would seem as if i was not fully emptying my bowels this continued on for another month or so and i returned to the doctor so the doctor did a ultrasound on my stomach and everything came back fine they then referred me to a surgeon which he did a endoscope and he said he seen no cancer no ulsers and that everything seemed fine well i was still constipated and when i did go my feces would sometimes be black and tarry or soft and yellow or green or hard or i would have dieriah the doctor then told me to take laxatives and eat more fiber in my diet so i did and had no results i then proceeded to switch doctors because i felt as if i was getting no help now i have a new doctor and i still have the pain he says he went over my charts my stomach is fine all the blood work looks fine the ultrasound is fine the endoscope is fine now the pain is in my lower right side and into my back and when i do have a bowel movement the pain gets worse during the procees of using the bathroom if anyone has any ideas please help

Gosh, does it ever end???  I agree with the above post, you need to get a colonoscopy.  The changes in your stool color should tell them something!  When stool is black and tarry it usualy indicates a bleed higher in the colon or stomach.  Your stomach has been ruled out, but I still wonder if there was irritation this may be where the blood is coming from??? Green stool means it is passing thru the intestines too quickly, and yellow indicates gallbladder or liver issues.  Did you ask the second GI about the swollen lymph nodes and inflammation?  If he went over all your tests he would have seen that you had some symptoms going on, and he should have tested further to find out what is going on.  IBS can cause the feeling of having to have a BM but you really don't, and still feeling like you need to go after you just did.  I called it "pressure on the bowel," I have IBS.  But pain with IBS is normally on the left side where the colon takes a sharp downward turn and gas gets trapped in there.  I would seek a third GI opinion, it took a 4th to properly diagnose my son.  In the meantime start eating Activia Yogurt to get the good bacteria back in your system, with the diarrhea is was lost and without it, our digestive systems can't function properly.  I have experienced and seen so many success stories with the Activia.  But you still need to address the pain, and changes in your stool!  It aggravates the daylights out of me when we have to go thru all this to get help!  Also, see an Endocrinologist this is vital with your symptoms.  I wish you all the best and take care!

Your problems could all be related to the constipation.  Have you had a colonoscopy (a lower endoscopy)?  Are you taking any laxatives for the constipation?
