Abnormal endoscopy

I recently had an endoscopy done. This was done following some black tarry stools and persistent indigestion. The doc told me he’s never seen what he saw, which was what he described as burns to my upper gastric region. Multiple biopsies were taken and I will have results in a few days. Just curious as to if anyone has ever seen something similar.
