And if youd rather try other products, citrucel worked pretty well. Metamusil should work too. And drink at least 50oz of water every day.
I could easily all be constipation. Try this and see if it helps with the constipation. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WVYB8Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thank you for the response. I was told by my doctor that she was just leaning toward constipation, but I would think the pain would be more of my abdomen and not just pain under my rib cage that radiates to my back. I have thought about the pain being caused by appendicitis, because it just feels like something is just going to explode. I have mentioned in a comment to another member that this pain has been since September and my doctor at the VA is making it so hard for me. I just want to get better and go on with my life. It's gotten to the point where I'm life, just give me a knife and I'll take out whatever that needs to come out, I'm that desperate.
Thanks for your response. I have had an upper GI endoscopy but the GI doctor said the was no bleeding and they didn't see anything. Of course this is before the pain gotten as bad as it is now. I am a Veteran and I go to the VA for healhcare. My doctor insists on having an abdominal ultrasound but when I went to the ER, they already did one. I have asked my doctor for a CT scan and HIDA scan but she just said she wanted to repeat the abdoninal ultrasound. She also wants to do a repeat endoscopy. I will try to cut out fatty foods and see if that relieves the pain. Abdominal ultrasound scheduled November 14th, pain started September and has gradually gotten worse.
You may want to get an abdominal and pelvis cat scan done.
I had pain in the center of my abdominal area (around navel), could not eat certain foods without pain afterwards. I was told it was gastritis and irritable bowel syndrome. Antacids, pain medication did not relieve the pain. I had a cat scan done and found out it was chronic appendicitis causing the symptoms. My appendix did not just go out all of a sudden, it was a gradual process and just kept getting worst over the years.
You may need to get an endoscopy done so they can check out your stomach lining, gallbladder and pancreas. It could be gallstones, acute pancreatitis, gastritis, or maybe even something else. If its worse when you are eating, I'd suggest lessening, if not cutting out fats completely to see if that helps any. But I'd go see a GI.
