After upper endoscopy difficulties in walking, breathing, higher burning sensation

My wife had a upper endsocopy on Saturday and now almost 5 days passed by.
She is feeling uncomfortable after the endoscopy.
She says she is having a constant burning sensation in the chest area.
A lot of pressure in the chest area.
She could not do her normal routine work.
She could not walk for some distance.  If she does, she says the burining increases and she could not bear the pain.
When she takes medications like TUMs she feels comfortable for a short time and afterwords she is having the problem again.
In the night she feels maximum pain and have difficulties in sleeping.
Would the endoscopy caused any issue?
Please adivse.

My husband had an endoscopy done 2 months ago and is having the burning, a slight cough. He gets tired now when he does anything.Have called the dr. says it's not anything he did.Said it's his heart we say no. There is no chest pain. Dr set up appointment with heart dr today. Heart dr says there is nothing wrong and was perplexed as to why they would send my husband to him.So now he gets x-rays done.My husband says the burning is so bad he can't do anything without getting tired. He is taking aloe vera juice to sooth his throat along with maloxx.Back to the dr in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for your adivse.
We called the doctor and they advised to go to Emergency Room.
Now she is under the treatlment and ER Doctor says it is inflammation in the ribs and nothing worry for it.  They kept her monitoring her for some time, took EKG and X-rays of Chest.  They gave pain killers and say it should be okay.  They say the procedure could not have caused any issue.  If they are then it will be really bad and she will have fever.  In this case she did not have fever.

Thanks!

After I had an EGD my GI prescribed Prevacid to aid in healing the trachea.  My procedure was to look for varices, which there were 4 and then put bands on them.  I was also told to eat liquids for 24 hours, but I still had discomfort.  I was told to stay on liquids until the discomfort faded.  I was also told not to do anything strenuous (I.e., Housework) until I felt no more discomfort.  Could be your wife is trying to return to too much too soon.  She should call her doctor's office about the discomfort.  Sooner than later.  Good Luck.
