Antacids

Does anyone here have eczema? Did it start after you started taking antacids?
I started taking antacids in the end of May. I developed a rash about four days later.
I thought it was jock itch but when I used OTC creams it got worse. I went to the doctor and he gave me some prescription medicine. This also made it worse. After visiting the Dermatologist twice he said it was eczema. I always had excellent skin, with the exception of freckles. I started using steroid creams and emollients everyday. This made it a little better but nothing made it go away. I became increasingly frustrated and  depressed. I was running every other day and now it hurt to even walk. I walk a  lot at my job so I began to wonder if this condition got any worse would I be able to function at my job.
I started reading every article I could find, including statistics on just how many adults develop eczema when they didn't have it as a child. I started focusing on changes that occurred around the time this started. I suspected an allergy to the antacid prescribed to me and had it changed for a few weeks. That didn't help. Now I read an article suggesting that antacids themselves cause eczema. I was put on antacids for  another problem but I figured I would stop taking them for a few days. Two days later a rash that bothered me for four months was finally going away. I still don't know if this is a coincidence or just maybe I can get my life back.
I don't know how anyone could deal with eczema everyday, especially between your legs. I was getting so depressed that I made an appointment with a psychologists.
I am still going to go even if this problem goes away, because it just has me so down.

Can anyone relate to this situation?

I have seen some friend with eczema disease, and also seen their recovery: some doctor recommended them to use Retin-a, and it cure them.

please take a look to this site were you can find more info about your problem:

Being female, I can't quite relate, but I can share an old-timey remedy for your problem that my husband and male family members swear by:  old fashioned laundry starch.  It's still available in boxes in the grocery store - usually on a bottom shelf because not many people bother with it these days with spray starch being easier to use.  Anyway, just dust yourself down real well each morning and see if things don't improve.
