So Im all sorts of f'd up. My symptoms are like the title says, all day brain fog, fatigue, constipation, bloating (after meals and after bowel movements), and indigestion from certain foods (which i now avoid).
Things to know about me is that I was daignosed with celiac in 2001 and have been on a strict gluten free diet ever since. The stomach bloating started in 2009 and has gotten progressively worse.
As far as indigestion goes, it seems like yearly I add more and more foods that cause it. It used to be just garlic and onions, then pasta sauce, then ketchup, then pretty much anything acidic.
Brain fog and fatigue have been a problem since 2005. One day I was out all night (the norm) fell asleep at like 5am and would normally sleep until 2-3pm, but not this night. this night i woke up at 8am and could not fall back to sleep. I was exhausted. slept normal that night, but even more exhausted the next day. I couldnt even keep myself upright i was so tired. and the brain fog was awful. I basically stayed home the next 2 nights and just slept as much as possible. After this i felt back to normal. That is, until the next weekend when i was out all night again. Only this time, there was no "sleep for 2 days straight." Since then I have never slept a good nights sleep. I usually get 4-6 hours of broken sleep. I think the longest ive slept was 7 hours and thats maybe been 2-3 times at best over the past 9 years.
I have no energy and constant brain fog. Ive had mri, sleep study, ct scan, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ultra sounds done. Other than celiac, mild sleep apnea, and gastritis, theyve never found anything else, and say none of this should cause as severe symptoms as I have.
Anyone know what could cause all these symptoms? I know depression and anxiety could, and I do suffer from these things, but I truly feel these are symptoms of something else and not the root of the problem. I was thinking maybe candida overgrowth, but wouldnt they have seen that in the endoscopy or colonoscopy?
Ive had good days when it comes to my stomach issues, but literally haven't felt energized since 2005. And at this point doctors, family, and friends have all lost hope. They all think its just 'in my head.'
