Can a bowel stick to the sutures of c-section wound and erode causing it to perf

after my c-section I was in severe pain, this continued over the weekend. On the monday an exploratory laparotomy was carried out and the findings were the small bowel was caught in the c-section wound.  I had developed sepsis and peritonitis and required an ileostomy. We were told that the bowel most likely had became stuck to the sutures and eroded but it is possible the bowel could have been hooked during closing of the wound.  There is no evidence of exactly what the findings were in the operation note.
