Cancerous Cells Will Clear Up On Their Own???

My father-in-law had his gall bladder removed about two weeks ago.  Yesterday he was telling me about his blood work and mentioned that they had found cancerous cells.  He played it off making it sound as though it was no big deal.  He said the nurse told him it was a result of having his gall bladder removed and that as his body adjusted everything would clear up, that this was normal.  Has anyone ever heard of this?  Is this really normal??

Thanks guys!  I didn't think they cleared up on their own either, but I've never personally had to deal with cancer and thought maybe there was more to it than I realized.

I agree cancer cells does not clear up.  If he does agnore this they will form into a tumor and spread.  I would defintly not ignore this get treated....

Wow - that nurse seems to be talking nonsense. I was dx with breast cancer 4 yrs ago, and had two surgeries, 4 months of chemotherapy and 5 and a half weeks of daily radiotherapy. I cannot think for one minute my doctors would have put me through all this, not to mention the expense, if cancer cells clear up on their own. If I was your f-in-law, I would be hot footing it to a gastro for a proper explanation, and Treatment.
