I don't have constipation issues. It gets to hurting then leads to the vomiting n diaheria w/ blood mixed in. They gave me antibiotics all stops for awhile except pain it stays off n on, then a few months n need meds again. The Dr. that did the tests didn't explain much n didn't have answers for my questions.
Thanks for the info, but I don't have constipation problems. It's pain down the left side and across the front w/ infection in the intestions and vomiting on a regular basis. Then when I came out of the procedure the doctor said "your constipation problems" I said I don't have that problem, he replied "your diaheria problem" I replied that's not me either. Made me feel like it wasn't me he did the test on.
A redundant and floppy colon is one that is slightly longer and less firmly attached to the 'back' wall area than what is normally seen. Most people don't know they have one until studies are done and it's noted in the reports.
There's little that can be done outside of something surgical, unfortunately. Some individuals with this condition typically complain of constipation and the problems that can be associated with it.
You didn't mention what led you to have the test done, but if it's something like constipation you may want to ask your doc how to try to manage the condition to lessen the discomfort.
