my dad has a fistula can you pass on any advice on how to manage this as antibiotics dont seem to help the vast amount of rubbish coming out ,any sugestions please
It takes a few infusions before you will know if it is working. Hopefully it will. I took Remicade and was feeling sooo much better in a couple of months.

Please post your question as its own post.
Hi ive had crohns disease for 15 years now... two resections later and this bloody disease is still controlling my life.
I have fistulas aswell, and feel pain and get bloated tummy constantly.. I started infliximab yesterday.. Felt fine during infusion but today im down in the dumps, not too sure if its a effect of the infusion yet! I dont have any advice for you because i cant seem to get on top of this disease myself...but would love to talk to you bout our experiences.. would be good to talk to someone who knows how im feeling..leanne
I also have chrons and had 2 fistula. I did not know that the fistula would repair itself. I had surgery. One fistula was from the small intestine to the bladder and I had an infection. When the surgeon did the surgery he found another from the small intestine to the large intestine. I had the surgery a year ago last July and have done wonderful. Just make sure you check out and get the best lapo dr around. Mine did it by lap with hand assist and so far so good. Good luck.
