Crohns and Fistulas and Strictures and Infliximab

Hi
Just wondered if anyone has/knows about crohns and a fistula and stricture pain and ALSO is having Infliximab?? I have just started the treatment and am waiting for my fistula to heal so I can lead a somewhat normal life. Also I get a blocked stomach feeling every now and them which I assume is from a stricture....I am only 27 and have had this disease for 8 years, my large bowel perforated when I was 21 I had a bag for a year then it got reversed. It seems like an ongoing saga and I have tried all meds, diets etc the pain I can nadle for a week or so but after that is starts to take its toll......just would apprecate any advise :-)
Thanks
Kimmy

It takes a few infusions before you will know if it is working.  Hopefully it will.  I took Remicade and was feeling sooo much better in a couple of months.

I also have chrons and had 2 fistula.  I did not know that the fistula would repair itself.  I had surgery.  One fistula was from the small intestine to the bladder and I had an infection.  When the surgeon did the surgery he found another from the small intestine to the large intestine.  I had the surgery a year ago last July and have done wonderful.  Just make sure you check out and get the best lapo dr around.  Mine did it by lap with hand assist and so far so good.  Good luck.
