Abdominal Bloading - Discomfort No Diareah or Constipation

I am a 27 year old (very healthy) female. I have had bloating and slight discomfort in my lower abdominal area for over a week now. I am having normal bowel movements and urination is normal. My doctor has ruled out any reproductive conditions or infections, and says that there is a lot of gas in my abdominal area. He wished that I wait and see if it goes away. It's not going away and I find it very uncomfortable. Any ideas on what this could be??

Try above diet trials one after one (2 days each), and if it doesn't help, go to the doctor.

Thanks for the info... I would like to explore these options with my Doctor if this problem persists. Any ideas on how long I should wait before returning to my Dr? This has been going on for about 9 days now.

1. Lactose intolerance
2. Fructose malabsorption
3. Diverticulitis - lower left abdominal pain, bloating, possible fever. Diagnosis is with x-ray with barium enema and stool culture.
