Help...my daugters stomach hurts when she eats. What could it be?

My 9yr old daughter starting complaining of mid belly and right side\lower pain....stopped eating. Went to er 3x and got conflicting reports of her being constipated they performed an enema and it didn’t help...pain still existed then our pediatrician said she wasn’t consipated. I thought appendicitis but during xray, ultrasound and ct scan they say no. She ended up losing 5# in 2 weeks...and she is small anyway so she doesn’t need to lose any weight!! We are now in the hospital because of the pain and weight loss and whenever she eats it hurts her stomach to the point she’s crying and not sleeping. They preformed a colonoscopy and endoscopy and they found some imflammation on her small intestine...we are waiting for results...doctors act like she is crazy! She also has heartburn and sometimes it’s hard to breath. Anybody ever gone thru this before...it’s a nightmare when you cant help our child feel better and tell them what’s wrong!

My son had chronic constipation.  We went to the ER as well.  Try giving her a cup of grape juice daily.  And maybe it is time for regular care at a specialist.  Go to a gastrointestinal doctor as they run different tests and are much better at being specific for what is going on.

It sounds like gastritis. You may have to give her bland foods to begin with. I am now going through the same thing. I believe mine started with strong antibiotics. Hope she feels better.
