I have done a little searching and found that some fatigue up to maybe 15-20 minutes after a BM is normal and caused by bacteria needing to replenish itself..I don't know how accurate that is, but I have the fatigue even before, and it's not a little fatigue, it has me laid up in bed all day sometimes until I can go, and completely drained after for at least half an hour. And by drained I mean like that blood-dropped-from-your-face kinda dizzy and flushed feeling one gets when they get suddenly startled by something really bad and it takes a few to recover kind of drained..With that said, the..um..poo..looks perfectly normal..I went thru different lists of what to look for as far as consistency and color, and mine is perfectly normal looking and I go once almost every day, so that seems generally normal too. But this level of fatigue can't be normal, and I am finding very very little information online. This has been going on for a couple years, maybe longer, I just didn't realize what the culprit was cause I wasn't paying close enough attention.
My background- I am a redhead (I saw on one forum someone asking if a poster with the same kind of issue was a redhead and that this was significant..I don't know how, but figured I'd mention it anyway just in case the person who said it was correct..). I have Pseudotumor Cerebri, never-ending ear and sinus infections (seeing a doc about getting a balloon sinuplasty for that soon) and when I overdo things, I get some pain and unbearable discomfort in the lower lefthand side of my back just left of the spine right above the tailbone, always the same spot, have yet to get it checked. Other than that, I don't really have any medical problems, don't even get colds or flu...so I don't see how my known health issues might be a culprit. Got a full check up recently, everything came back normal. My doctor said I was a tiny low on some nutrient, but that it was an insignificant amount, and she didn't even bother mentioning which nutrient. And my diet generally consists of chicken, veggies, and some fruit, though not enough, and potatoes in just about any form lol..Not too many sweets, I'm not big on those. Instead, my cravings are for acids..especially lemon. Most of my meals have something acidic and strong flavored like vinegar, pickles, green olives, etc..(the craving acids was also significant according to the person who asked the other individual if he was a redhead..the individual did reply that he was, indeed, both a redhead, and craved acids, not sweets.)
I have told 2 doctors about the BM thing and they both kind of brushed it off. I don't want to bounce around from doctor to doctor trying to get one to listen and not brush it off, which is why I'm asking here. I'm tired of being too drained of energy to function day after day after day.
