Frequent belching and chest pain when swallowing

I am a 43 year old female, with a negative colonoscopy done last March.  For the past two weeks, I have been experiencing very frequent belching, not just after meals, along with a pain to the right of my sternum occasionally when I swallow.  This pain also is present when I'm not swallowing.   Two Sundays ago, I vomited several hours after eating lunch, and have had recurrent nausea since that time.  I take Prevacid 30 mg. once daily, but it does not seem to be helping.  My gastro. raised it to 60 mg a day and said he will "scope" me in 2 weeks if no improvement.  I am worried about stomach cancer and/or esophageal cancer-very worried.

Does anyone have any advice or help until I get back to the doctor?  Thank you.

Hi. I am a 15years old female. Recently I hav been belching alot like what is mentioned above. Also, I hav been having swallowing problems, like i can feel my food go down to my stomach slower. Went to see a doctor, she suspects is because of acid reflux and gave me some medicine, but my condition doesn't seem to improve. It's weird, coz I also have throat infection that is one sided and the soreness kinda radiates to my right Ear and jaw. And I rmb these swallowing problem started one month ago when I was having severe burning sensation on my right throat. I dun know if there are linked but I am freaked out. I never have this type of problems before!:( plus I have occasional chest pains (not burning) but it comes and goes  quickly. Does anyone know what is wrong with me?
