H-pylori

How long does it take for good intestinal bacteria to restore itself after antibiotic use for H-pylori? If it ever does.

Thank you for your reply. I have been having stomach problems after the treatment for H-pylori which I never had until a few weeks after I finished. I have pain which is localized to the right side and ongoing for a few months now.

Hi there,
There is no definite time when the protective bacteria will restore after taking antibiotics. You may try to restore it early by increasing your intake of yoghurt rich with probiotics. You should consume yoghurt daily for 6-8 weeks. Do write to us again with more queries. I hope it helps.
Best luck and regards!
