please help, pain getting worse

Last october i noticed a fair amount of blood in my stool. after that i never really thought about it again until i realized the tightness in my stomach and pellet sized stool that was normal for me was constant constipation.

ever since 7/5/12 i have cramping in my abdomin, made worse by stress and makes going to the bathroom urgent. my stool is now like all the pellets shoved together, held like a net by globs and stings of yellow mucos and some tiny blood spots on the stool.

today i have stabbing pain under my right breast.

im too scared to make a doctors appointment

But surely it is not much fun living with your present condition as well as the uncertainty that this causes??

Please seek medical advice since any rectal bleeding is not normal but as you are young, it is very unlikely that the cause is serious and more probably of a minor nature such as anal fissure or haemorrhoids.

If you are scared due to embarrassment (= "anal matters", "faecal matter" etc etc) then don't worry because the doctors will have seen it all before.  If you would not hesitate to seek medical advice because of - say - chronic nosebleeds (= blood from a body orifice) then what is the difference when blood is emitted from another body orifice??

Good luck and do please tell us what the doctors discovered

If you are on medications for chronic conditions, you may have constipation as a side effect.  Additionally, thyroid problems can cause constipation.

Try Metamucil with a large glass of water.  Additionally, take magnesium citrate 500 mg tablet every morning with a glass of water.  Eat an apple for breakfast or an afternoon snack.  Walk for exercise, which will be much easier once you get things moving.

If these methods are not enough, change the Metamucil to Miralax.
