How to make the burping go away plus air bubbles in throat

Well my wife had this problem since yesterday where she's constantly burping and that it feels like air is stuck in her throat, then other signs happen she feels like she has to force  herself to throw up and she's said that when she makes bigger burps it goes away then comes back and the situation is worse then when she started. I've looked up a lot of things to help her out and doesn't seem to work. If possible id like a professional opinion from any Dr on her situation. I've asked her if she wanted to go We or to see her Dr and that was out of the question. So as A husband the least I can do try.
