Incomplete colonoscopy

I (54 yr old female) just had my first colonoscopy (found one 4 mm polyp) and the colonoscopy was incomplete because the Cecum could not be reached despite prolonged efforts and now I have to be scheduled for a virtual colonoscopy in the next 6-8 weeks. Is it common for the cecum not be reached?
