Is This Normal?

I was born a blue baby with stomach issues. For as long as I can remember I have had issues with burping. I have been tested for GERD, which was negative, and have been prescribed many medications for related smptoms of GERD. I have also taken over the counter medication, and I have changed my diet numerous times. Yet I still have the same issues I have always had, but they are becoming worse with time. I have seen many doctors, and they still cannot figure out how to help me. Here are my symptoms, Bloating, Burping from morning till night, acid taste in my mouth on the larger burps, occasional mild vomits from burps, occasional burping with blood taste in mouth, painful cramping when bloated, and almost always a foul smell from the burps. Any advise or info would help. I have been looking into this for years and have yet to find anything that helps. Thanks.

PPI's (proton pump inhibitors) are a group of medications used to treat GERD like Prilosec, Prevacid, Protonix, Aciphex, Nexium, and Dexilant.

I did have an endoscopy about 7 years ago, they said there was nothing to worry about. I have also tried eliminating lactose from my diet, but it was longer than 2 weeks, and there was still no change. What is a PPI?

Thanks for your help

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  Have you tried eliminating 100% of all lactose from your diet for 2 weeks to see if that helps?  Have you had an endoscopy?  Does taking any PPI's help with the acid taste in your mouth?
