Adult Post Hepaticojejunostomy w/Roux En Y

Dear Dr.

My fiance had a lapo gallbladder procedure a year ago. Unfortunately he suffered a Right Hepatic Artery (RHA) injury along with a transection of his common bile duct.He underwent a end to end hepaticojejunostomy. Three anastomosis were created. One week later he also had a small bowel obstruction.

Now, after one year of no symptoms, he is complaining of being "swollen" feeling on the inside around his liver area. His fatique his high. His color is not a jaundice color, no itching, but bowel movements are not easy and frequent as they once were - according to him. He has too sit up frequently for sleep in a recliner due to his "full feeling" and constant belching.

His Gastro and the Hepato Billiary Surgeon said he is fine. This is changing his life so much!! The only other thing that I am concerned about is acetaminophen. He took around 1500 mgs for about 1 week due to TMJ pain. He has had almost every symptom of that toxicity.

His doctors has said he doesn't have a diseased or damaged liver, but he is no where near where he use to be in health and stamina. He is 52 yo male, no other surgeries or medical problems. Just a gallbladder problem that resulted in its removal.

Please help direct me... I am worried about him and he is hesitant to go to another doctor since they tell him he is fine. He is just withdrawing.

iv had a  hepaticojejunostomy.i dont know if i will ever feel right again after all its a big change to the body as the bile duct is now attached to the lower intestine just about the navel. i had my operation 5 months ago.i think its still important to watch the diet and keep to a low fat diet. not as little as 3% as suggested before the gallbaldder removal but its still importand to eat small meals and low in fat and get exercise. its the liver that makes the stones not the gallbladder so its important to keep the diet good
