I do have a regular physical scheduled, but not for a few months yet (have to schedule them a half year in advance!), I've never had surgery, and otherwise feel mostly OK.
Quick history of symptoms:
6 years ago, serious fatigue followed by change in bowel habit to ibs-like constipation symptoms. Pain in lower left side by pelvic bone. Pain spread to lower right side, but remained confined to the areas above the thigh/pelvic crease and did not include the area above the pelvic bone. I also suffered a loss of appetite, bouts of nausea and lost 10 lbs. Several visits to an MD revealed nothing, including a CT scan. The symptoms mostly cleared up as a few months passed, but the lower right pain came and went intermittently. Since then I have experienced a progression of symptoms: Strong itching above the pelvic bone on the waist line that was "inside" and could not be scratched, pressure like a rock/thumb/egg at the pelvic/thigh crease, where the artery is, feeling like it's pushing out(C); warm/cool sensations in the area, shooting pains down the leg(C), groin pain/right testicle pain, and symptoms that fit IBS like cramping sensations where the colon is. Intermittent constipation. Rarely, I would get a serious sharp pain in the lower right area just above the thigh/abdomen crease. The ones marked (C) pretty much continue to this day, the rest went away after several weeks/months. The pain varies from almost unnoticeable to borderline moderate.
Now, I get a burning sensation occasionally right above my pubic bone, and it does hurt to press there, but only briefly, and it feels occasionally like a bubble or two is in there. Pressing there also can cause pain right between the legs, but not consistently.
So, at any rate - things appear to be changing, and not for the better. I'm asking here because every time I go to an MD's office, I feel like I get blown off. It seems that after I name a few symptoms the reaction is "IBS", nevermind the rest, and some of the symptoms just don't fit: Itching: can be a sign of adhesions; Burning and pressure: can be a sign of a hernia; Sharp pains: can be a sign of a restriction. These just don't seem to fit the mold of standard IBS, and the slow movement of the symptoms from right to left makes me wonder of there's a cycle of inflammation and adhesion moving across my lower abdomen. That, a really bizarre case of IBS, or even cancer. I won't mention my age simply because I've read too many stories about folks being told "You're to young to worry about that..." and then finding out later they have stage 3 cancer.
