Lower Right Quadrant Pain

I went to the ER several months ago for severe pain in my lower right abdomen, along with uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting.  When in the ER, they did a pelvic exam to rule out PID, and were going to do an ultrasound to rule out appendicitis but decided not to when my bloodwork came back and my white blood cell count was only slightly elevated.

I've been dealing with the pain which remains in the same exact spot just to the left of my right hip bone, and finally it got to be bad enough that I went to a gastroenterologist.  I just had a colonoscopy done, and was told that I had redness at my appendiceal opening, and a biopsy was taken (to see if there was inflammation, I believe is what he said).

I'm wondering what that really means to me?  My doc seemed less than concerned about it, and said he'd follow up with me in a couple weeks once the lab results have been returned.  I'm in pain and I feel like without a diagnosis I can't fix the pain, so I'm getting discouraged.

I also have pain in a specific spot in my upper right abdomen just under my ribs.  An ultrasound was done of all of my digestive organs such as kidneys, liver, and gallbladder, and everything came back perfectly normal (small cyst is on my left kidney).  When an endoscopy was done, esophageal damage was found, and I was told that was causing the pain under my right rib cage.  When I look at anatomy pictures, this makes no sense to me.  It hurts when I press on it, but also when it hurts on its own, I feel like I need to place pressure on the area to make the pain stop.

With both pains, in the lower and upper right quadrants, curling into the fetal position feels best, with my hand on top of the place where the pain is.

I'd love to know if anyone has had similar experiences and what the outcomes were?  Thanks for the support!

when he means redness at the opening, he is saying basicly stoll can get stuck at the opening of the apendics causeing inflamation and then the stoll may release, and not harm the apendics anymore, its vary difficult to diagnose problems like that, the best thing to do is if your having alot of pain there and you cant walk, lay on your back and have someone hit the base of your foot and if you get pain in your stomach from that, there is a good chance you have appendicitis, but you would get reallyy really sick i you had appendicitis.

when it comes to  appendicitis blood work can come back normal and there can still be inflamation, i world recomend you asking your doctor if they can do a cat scan it is best to check for inflamation around the apendics with that. sometimes there are points called peaks that can happen with ur apendics at some points that can be inflamed and at other points that will not and its hard to draw blood and the time they are inflamed, i would recomend a CT scan.
