No gram-negative flora?

Can anyone tell me the significance of the
"absence of normal gram-negative enteric flora"

This was reported on 2 stool cultures, a few months apart, while having significant intestinal problems and not on antibiotics.
I am taking probiotics and things are improved, but I wonder what could cause this.

Gram-negative simply meens that the bacteria did not stain with negative dye, negative bacteria is harder to kill with antibiotics than positive. Don't worry it is a good thing. I am a nurse.
