sick of being miserable

I don't know if I really have a question or just feel like there are people here that understand....I had a total hysterectomy at 32 because of severe endometriosis(all three types). By the time I found a gyn to do the laparoscopy, I looked to be 7 months pregnant and I was a gray color from the blood loss in my abdomen! The surgery took over three hours to remove adhesions etc. I should say that I have 6 biological children and two stepdaughters. One of the reasons that I had a hard time getting diagnosed was because of my fertility. I had three children and then a tubal ligation. After coming to the Lord and marrying my wonderful husband, we went to Mexico for a tubal reversal. Well, obviously from the numbers above, the reversal worked and we have three beautiful children together. Four of my kids were from c-sections. All to say it was a long road and about 1.5 years of severe pain after my last child before a diagnosis and the total hysterectomy(the pregnancies of course put my endo into remission and therefore no symptoms for several years).

Now, I am in excrutiating pain again. My abdomen is swollen. This girl who used to be a size 8 even after 6 babies is now a size 12-14. I hurt so bad that if it wasn't for my love of the Lord, I think I would have attempted suicide.

I just had a colonoscopy Monday. The pain was so bad that it woke me from my medically induced slumber. The nurse kept telling me to breathe and hang in there, try to relax. I don't think I will ever forget the pain. The Dr did say that all he found was scar tissue that he thinks is from the endometriosis. I have been having blood in my stools and emesis so he has also ordered an endoscopy to be done asap which has now been scheduled for next Monday.

I just want to feel better and be me again. I miss feeling well. It seems so long ago!

PS I did try hormone replacement. The Dr that did my hysterectomy put my on the highest dose of Premarin allowed. THAT WAS A NIGHTMARE! I had to be weaned off slowly and was then placed on bioidentical hormone replacement. We moved though and my new Dr is not familiar with this newer treatment so I have been off all hormone therapy for a while now.

I have pain all over. In my abdomen, especially lower left and upper right sides. However I also have what I call "deep bone pain". It is so bad that I feel like I could amputate a limb sometimes. It is deeper than muscle pain and massage or heat/cold is no help!

Sorry to take up so much of your time, Just feel like I'm to young to be in constant overwhelming pain! Meds don't even work anymore to relieve the pain. It's like taking candy :(

Help?

No need to treat you,if your in pain you need help.Go to a regular M.D.They should see things differently,I would think. Also Ms Contin every 12 hours and Percoset for breakthrough pain 1-2 every 4-6 hours if needed. The thing with pain is you need to get it under control,if it gets to severe its harder to get to stop, same with anxiety.God has a way of leading you to who or where you need to go to the relief you need.I wish you the best.Love,Jen

Who do I direct these requests to? My PCP has sent me to a GI. GYN feels there is no need to see or treat me.

Thanks! I do pray, it's what keeps me going. As my daddy said the other day, what God sees you to He will see you through!

Ask about Dilaudid, its a great pain reliever.Liquid morphine also should help.Mind over matter, try to meditate, think I'm not letting this pain take me over, pray! Soma ,a muscle relaxer. You need something for nerves, xanax, maybe an anti-depressant.The more nervous and scared you are the more pain you'lll be in.I'll think of some more things! I hope you feel better.God Bless,Jen
