all cleanses make me sick.. its like forcing your body to do something it cant keep up with. I am happy you found something. Just ***** cause cleanses and laxatives allow it to get worse because your body starts to rely on them to go.
Also here is my story if you would like to read it and what tests I have had so far etc. Might help you to suggest some things

For the record laxatives I use only at a last resort because they make me VERY sick. Amitiza made me incredibly sick. I have stuck to Miralax which helps keep the stools soft but doesnt make me going any quicker. I still dont go for 2 weeks at a time and when I go its 2 weeks worth at once.
I was diagnosed with a tortuous colon but I refused to stop there.. because the question on my mind was.. WHY! Why did it become this way? I now have been diagnosed with SIBO, IBS and colonic inertia. I am contemplating surgery to have my large intestine removed (no bag - my small intestine would be connected to my rectum).
i to suffer from tortuos colon ive tried it all nothing seem to work efficiently but one thing. Its called dual action cleanse i purchase it at walmart it takes the constipation pain and nausea away its the best thing not only does it soften your stool but it removes it as well no diarhea its amazing trust me its all herbs and plants natural gnc sells it to but its more expensive there im amazed by the results hope you all try it youll thank me for it.
I feel your pain. I've been constipated since I was 11. I found out months ago that I too had a Tortuous Colon, however my gastro didn't tell me that. I had to read about it in his dictated report. Hum, don't you think he should have told me? For years, I would take just about every laxative on the market and I've gotten to the point where nothing works anymore. I had my primary physician put me on the prescription Miralax ($10 copay beats $40 in the stores). It worked wonders, but now it stopped working again. Things work for a week or two, then stop. I'm in so much pain in the top portion of my stomach. I know I'm backed up, but I can't seem to get things moving. My last primary doctor told me to take mylanta, which I did and it worked, but once again, I'm all stopped up and nothing is working. Not Amatiza, Miralax, or Metamucial. I can't take Mag Citrate, because it makes me want to puke and then my butt is so raw. Is there anything we can do for this damn condition?
Both Colace and Miralax are stool softeners, you need to remove one (I suggest the Colace) and add one for motility. Fiber is good in moderation, you just have to be careful not to consume too much as it then causes constipation. I would try increasing the dosage of your Miralax, until you find what works best for you. Increase it little by little until you reach a point where you can keep your stool moving. Miralax is not habit forming and sometimes you have to play around with the dosage to get the best results.
Hope this helps.
