Hello, Since January 08' I have been having sever abdominal pain, so much that I end up in the floor crying in a ball.  I have lost a lot of weight,, and now weigh 98 pounds, and it is now August 08' and they have finally diagnosed me with S.O.D, and I don't know where to go from here, the doctor said the only time I need to come back is when I need another ERCP done, but what do I do between now and then? My primary care physican doesn't know anything about this dysfunction, and I need help, i'm still in a lot of pain, and still cannot eat right, but they said it was going to take a little bit to heal, where they cut the ducts in my pancreas.  What do you suggest I do now?

I was interested in your SOD symtoms.  What were all of your symtoms and where was you pain? Did you pain come and go or was it pretty much constant?  I have been having constant upper (left, right and middle) abdomen pain and they have done every test so far that come up normal except the ERCP.  I am going to a specialist sept 3oth to see if he would suggest an ERCP or not because My liver or pancreas enzymes are not elevated and my bilary duct in only slightly dialated to a 5 and I am 38 (supposedely it is usually close to your age so Since I am 38 the duct should be between a 3 and a 4) anyway were your enzymes elevated or was your biliary duct dilated? I am so sick of being in constant pain but I do not want to do a test that may not relieve my pain and possibly cause more problems. Please respond for I really need to know what I should do!
